With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, we specialize in energy-efficient custom homes, renovation services, commercial projects and custom pools. Canterra is led by our three owners, Cesar Sanchez, Elias Barajaz, Katherine Barajaz and our executive administrator, Paola Lugo.

Meet Cesar
Cesar Sanchez has 20+ years of experience in commercial and residential construction, project management and land development. For over 20 years, Cesar has worked on several solar projects, 100+ residential, and small and large commercial projects throughout the West and East Coast. He has established long-standing relationships with other builders, vendors and sub-contractors and holds various accreditations including construction management accreditation with the Home Builders Association of Arizona. Cesar currently holds 3 state licenses in construction to include KB-2 Dual Residential and Small Commercial, CR-11 Electrical, and A-9 Swimming Pools.

Meet Elias
Elias Barajaz has 10+ years of experience in the construction industry. His experience in energy efficiency building systems has been an asset to our business and a staple in all our custom development projects. Before construction, Elias managed several different projects in the financial industry which has allowed our company to broaden our business opportunities in construction. He has a Master of Science in Accounting and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University with a Certificate in Dealership Management. His business acumen has been fundamental in our various business endeavors.
Meet Katherine
Katherine Barajaz has a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University with a Certificate in Dealership Management. Aside from being an owner, she is our in-house designer. She uses thoughtful planning and detail to introduce safety, structure and appeal to new homes and remodels. Meeting sustainability, functionality and beauty are at the core of Canterra Design. Katherine executes creative designs based on the use of space, clients specifications and their budget. She takes great care to ensure all of her clients are satisfied at the completion of their project.
Meet Paola
Paola Lugo is our Executive Administrator and is the glue that keeps us well-organized and customer service oriented. She manages all our vendors, appointments, emails, and client requests while conducting thorough site visits at ongoing projects. She has been the pioneer of our Standard Operating Procedures which keep us accountable and promotes consistency in out quality of work. Paola has a Bachelor’s of Art from Arizona State University and a Master’s degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix . Paola is also a licensed Arizona Real Estate Agent and has earned the right to call herself REALTORS®. She can help you purchase your next piece of land or home.
